Autopilot, Learning Phase & Self-Learning in LinkedClient

Przemysław Przemysław

LinkedClient provides flexible AI control so you can decide how your assistant, Elsie, handles your outreach across LinkedIn connection messages, LinkedIn messages, and emails. You can choose between Learning Phase (previously Draft Mode) and Autopilot for each channel independently, and use Self-Learning to teach Elsie your personal writing style.

Choosing Between Learning Phase and Autopilot

You can now select how Elsie behaves per communication channel using the updated Autopilot & Learning Phase panel:

For each of the following, you can select Learning Phase to review and approve every message manually, or Autopilot to let Elsie send them automatically:

  • LinkedIn Connection Messages
  • LinkedIn Messages
  • Email Messages

You can change these modes at any time, and Elsie will remember your preferences per channel. The Learning Phase is ideal while you're training Elsie on your tone and messaging goals. Once you’ve approved enough messages, Elsie may prompt you to switch to Autopilot.

Self-Learning: Teaching Elsie Your Writing Style

The new Self-Learning (Beta) feature allows Elsie to observe and learn your communication style based on how you edit her drafts. When enabled, Elsie automatically builds writing rules from your feedback and applies them to future messages. It's important to mention that during the Self-Learning phase, Elsie will only generate 5-6 tasks from each category in batches. This is to prevent generating a lot of tasks without applying new rules. Each message that you edit, reschedule, delete or manipulate in any way is reviewed by Elsie to apply more rules in the Self-Learning category to create a new batch later with applied new rules, until you are ready to switch to autopilot. You may see more rules being added just from editing the messages.

  • Begin with "Hey [First Name],"
  • Limit to 1–3 sentences and 45 words max

Elsie applies these rules to standard LinkedIn messaging, such as:

  • Start with "Hi [First Name],"
  • Limit message to 260 characters
  • Avoid repeated phrases and use contractions
  • Reply within 24 hours, then follow up after 4–6 days

Email Message Rules

For emails, Elsie adapts her writing based on tone, structure, and timing preferences, such as:

  • Use friendly sign-off with first name
  • Sprinkle words like “just” for a softer tone
  • Reference local context or timing
  • Wrap paragraphs using proper tags for formatting

Keep in mind that you click 'Enter' every time you add a new rule and make sure to save them at the bottom of the page!
