Video Guide
In LinkedClient, a Sales Cycle represents a personalised outreach journey for each contact. Activating a Sales Cycle initiates that journey and allows your AI assistant, Elsie, to begin engaging with the lead across your connected channels based on the information you’ve provided.
When to Activate a Sales Cycle
Sales Cycles can be activated once a contact has been imported into your account. This typically happens after adding someone from LinkedIn or Sales Navigator, or simply by connecting your LinkedIn account (already existing network). If the Sales Cycle has not been activated yet, you’ll see no outbound actions or progress in the contact’s record. Activating the cycle allows Elsie to begin generating and sending messages aligned with your outreach goals.
Where to Activate
You can activate a Sales Cycle directly from the contact’s profile in two ways:
- Via the main contact view panel, using the “Activate Sales Cycle” button
- From the “Personal Details” section inside the contact profile
Setting an Objective
Before the Sales Cycle can begin, you’ll need to set an objective for the contact. This describes what you want to achieve, e.g., selling LinkedClient services, inviting them to a meeting, or discussing a specific offer.
- If the contact was imported in bulk, this objective may already be done during the import step.
- If the contact was added manually or imported from your first-degree network, you may need to add an objective manually.
- You have up to 1,000 characters to describe your intent. The more detail you provide, the better Elsie can personalise her approach.
What Happens After Activation
Once the Sales Cycle is activated:
- Fetch data from contacts LinkedIn (this data will now be used for personalised communication) (LinkedIn data is being updated every 6 months)
- Elsie will begin crafting personalised messages using your AI profile, the objective you provided, and the contact’s LinkedIn information.
- The first message will appear for your review in Draft Mode, or be sent automatically if you’ve selected Autopilot Mode.
- Each message includes reasoning that you can review and edit, helping Elsie learn your preferences over time.
Adding Notes and Context
You can enrich the contact’s record by adding internal notes. These notes may be:
- Shared with Elsie to inform future messaging
- Private if meant only for internal tracking and not used by the AI
Approving or Rejecting Messages
If you're using Draft Mode, you will have full control over message approvals. You can:
- Approve a message to send it immediately or schedule it
- Reject a message, and Elsie will generate a new one.
- View Elsie’s reasoning and logic behind message generation by clicking right below the generated message
Managing Active Sales Cycles
Once a Sales Cycle is running, you can continue to track progress and edit touchpoints within the contact’s timeline. If you need to pause outreach at any time, simply use the “Stop Sales Cycle” option to put communications on hold.
