The Survey section in LinkedClient is where you define who you are and what you offer. It serves as the foundation for how Elsie understands your background, your business, and the value you bring to prospects.
This section is strictly informational. All behavioural settings, tone controls, scheduling, and workflow logic are now managed separately in AI Settings.
Accessing the Survey
To access your survey:
- Click on your name in the top right corner and click on Settings
- Select Survey
- Alternatively, click here
You will see two main sections: About You and About Your Business Offer.
Regenerate from LinkedIn & Website
At the top of the Survey page, you’ll find the option to regenerate your survey answers based on your LinkedIn profile and website.
When you click Regenerate, LinkedClient pulls relevant public information and drafts initial responses for you. This helps you get started quickly.
Important: Regeneration does not lock your answers. You can fully edit and refine everything afterwards.
1. About You
This section describes you as a professional. Elsie uses this information when:
- Prospects ask about your background
- You are introducing yourself
- Context about your experience strengthens credibility
Include:
- Your professional journey
- Relevant experience and expertise
- Your approach to working with clients
- Anything that differentiates you
Keep it clear and structured. Avoid overly long paragraphs. Think of this as your professional positioning summary. 'Treat it as a CV section.'
2. About Your Business Offer
This section defines what you sell and how you deliver value. Elsie uses this when prospects ask:
- What do you actually offer?
- How does it work?
- What makes it different?
- What long-term value does it bring?
Make sure to include:
- Your core value proposition
- Target audience or ideal customer
- Main benefits and outcomes
- Tools, processes, or frameworks you use (if relevant)
Focus on clarity over marketing language. Elsie performs best when the offer is explained in simple, direct terms.
What Has Changed
Previously (before February 16th 2026), the Survey included fields related to sales style, touchpoints, aggressiveness, and AI messaging rules. These have now been moved to AI Settings for better control and separation of responsibilities.
The Survey is now focused purely on:
- Who you are
- What you offer
All communication behaviour, writing style, autopilot settings, and timing rules are configured elsewhere.
Why the Survey Still Matters
Even though behavioural controls are now separated, the Survey remains the core knowledge base Elsie relies on.
A well-written Survey ensures that:
- Your outreach sounds aligned with your expertise
- Your value proposition is explained consistently
- Elsie can answer questions confidently and accurately
- Conversations feel authentic and human
Think of the Survey as the “brain content” and AI Settings as the “behaviour control panel.” Both work together, but they serve different purposes.
For guidance on configuring communication style, scheduling, autopilot, and other AI behaviour controls, please refer to the separate AI Settings article.
